Private & Small Group

Restorative & Yin Yoga

“We work very hard in our lives, and while we may sleep, we rarely take time to relax. Restorative yoga poses help us learn to rest deeply and completely.”

–Judith Hanson Lasater, Ph.D., PT

Why choose private classes?

  • Private Yoga sessions can help you delve deeper into your body, heart and mind and aid the release of blockages that can be difficult to process in a class setting.

  • Allows for inclusion of facilitated stretches and massage to deepen your practice.

  • Personalized adjustments and assists can be made to each posture to account for specific needs.

  • Small group yoga sessions create a wonderful opportunity to refresh yourself and reconnect with the people in your life on your schedule.

  • Great addition to your wellness portfolio in between massages and other therapies such as chiropractic or acupuncture.

  • Small class sizes allow for a class curated to your needs and preferences allowing for personalized adjustments and assists during each posture.

  • Your group decides on a time and frequency that works for everyone... weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, seasonally or special occasions such as weddings, birthdays or reunions.

  • The energy and support of a small group provides increased accountability as the group holds space for one another thus increasing your motivation to follow through with your personal goals.

  • Provides a comfortable setting for those new to practice.

  • Offers the opportunity for a unique bonding experience distinct from other social gatherings.

*If booking for a semiprivate or a small group have one person book the appointment noting the number of participants. Payment can be handled individually or as a group at the time of service.

"We don't use the body to get into a pose. We use the pose to get into the body"

Bernie Clark

We will use blankets, bolsters, blocks and other props to situate the body in postures of comfort and ease with the intention of creating a space within to support a state of relaxation and nurturance. This is a slow paced gentle class perfect for calming the mind and nervous system enabling you to turn inward and unwind.

Whether to complement bodywork treatments, develop a personal practice or gather with a special group, I invite you to curate your practice with some of the following...

  • Reiki

  • Aromatherapy

  • Guided Meditation

  • Chakras

  • Mudras

  • Pranayama

  • Yoga Philosophy

  • Meridians

  • Sadhana Practice

  • Book Discussion

Postures in this practice are specifically designed  to address the deeper connective tissue, joints and fascia of the body. They will be held passively for several minutes with the use of props as needed to create strength, and space in the joints.
